Sakura Wars Collection

Been a while since my previous post, been very busy with work and friends. Here I've got a set from Sakura Wars, fairly popular anime that I haven't had the chance to watch as of yet. Caught my eye, very vibrant and detailed set, not really much else to say. I'll let the pictures do the talking. Characters are Erica Fontaine, Kasumi Fujii, Lobelia Carlini, Sakura Shinguji, Tsubaki Takamura and Yuri Sakakibara, enjoy!

Neon Genesis Evangelion - Asuka and Rei figures

Some stunning figures of both Rei Ayanami and Asuka Shikinami in two different costume sets sat in cockpits. Picked these up off ebay a fair few years back. The modelling is great and the paintwork is not too shabby either. The model is ~2.3 inches (5.5cms) tall and ~3.3 inches (7cms) lengthways.

Capcom All Stars figures

This a set of figures from various Capcom titles including, Darkstalkers, Street Fighter, Breath of Fire, Omnimusha, Rival Schools, Megaman and Star Gladiator series. 

I was originally super happy with the purchase, it was a nice range of characters and at first glance (especially in it's packaging) the design of the characters seemed very good. On closer inspection, some of the paintwork for a few of the characters are a little off, which left me a little disappointed. My favourite of this set is Dhalsim, overall a good set but was a little off my initial expectations. Have considered having them repainted at some point but for the time being, they will have to do.

There are 10 characters with 2 colour sets each, we have Nina, Hsien Ko, Jon Talbain, Rock/Megaman, Kaede, Hinata Wakaba, Hayato Kanzaki, Dhalsim, R.Mika and Ryu. Figues are approximately 4cms (1.5 inches) tall.

Tri-Colle Gainax figures

This was one of the few sets that I managed to pick up while I was last in Hong Kong back in 2012, surprisingly little caught my eye but this cute SD set did. Characters are off as most of you know Neon Genesis Evangelion, probably the anime/manga that Gainax are most famous for, Aim for the Top and Nadia. We have Kaworu Nagisa, Rei Ayanami, Nadia, Nono, and Noriko Takaya. I'm not going to lie i've not actually heard of Aim for the Top and Nadia prior to this post so I will probably do a little bit of investigating. Enjoy! 

Dragon Ball Z figures

Very happy with this set, the colours are vivid and the resemblance to their respective characters is spot on. They range from 2.5cm-4cm (1 - 1.5inches) tall. Nothing more to say really. 

What Am I Doing With This Blog?

As I hope the blog name would have made obvious, I am fairly into my gaming, manga and anime. I've spent a fairly large chunk of my life playing video games, reading manga and watching anime. 

This had led to me collecting a fairly sizeable collection of video games and figurines. To be honest, I'm not really sure of the ultimate goal of this blog, my collection is nothing special so it's not to show off. I will possibly be selling off my collection in the coming few years as I find less and less space to actually display what I have. The majority of the stuff I have, has been sitting in cupboards all packaged up. So, I guess it is a nice way of getting everything I have out there in the open for everyone to see. 

Despite mentioning selling my collection, it is still growing *facepalm* I impulse buy like crazy, so don't expect posts to this blog to end any time soon.

I have a full time job and am working on other things in my spare time, so i'm hoping I will find the time to update at least once a week if not more.

Dodgy Street Fighter mini figures

I bought these while I was in Hong Kong 10+ years ago from one of those dodgy market stalls set up on the street. They measure about 4cm (1.5 inches) in height. Can't say that they are favourite figures of all time but some of them are pretty cool considering, my favourites are Adon, Birdie, Sagat and Sodom. Cammy came with this set as well but I managed to sell that for about £10 (~$15) somehow, never realised how much of a following Cammy had until then, I listed it for a £1 (~$1.5) and wasn't even expected it to sell so it was a nice surprise =)
